Guggul refers to the resin formed from the sap of the Commiphora mukul tree, which has been used in Ayurveda for over three thousand years. Guggul in Sanskrit is “Guggulu,” which means, “protects the body”.* This resin also goes by the name myrrh and is highly prized for its attributes.
